Types of metal

Metal comes in all shapes and sizes. Well known pure metals include copper, gold and silver. In addition, a distinction is made between ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Ferrous metal contains iron, with steel being the most famous example, while non-ferrous metals contain little or no iron. Examples include lead, aluminium, bronze and brass.
