Our developers are constantly working to improve our online software, Sophia®. We regularly launch new features and updates to make the software even more user-friendly and your work process easier and more efficient. On this page, we will keep you updated monthly on all changes and improvements in Sophia®.
On the Parts Library tab, we now also have a groups section; another way to organise your parts library.
Here you can add groups, which consist of parts from your parts library. These groups allow you to create combinations of products that you always order together. For example, based on projects or groups of parts for specific customers.
The way of selecting your material has been improved. You can now select the thickness first and then the material type in Sophia®. Materials available in that thickness are shown in blue. Materials that are not available in that thickness are shown in grey.
If you select one of unavailable materials, the thickness is reset and the available thicknesses for that material are shown again.
Our quotation calculations have an average time of 30 seconds. Sometimes it can take longer due to complex or large projects. From now on, we will inform you if calculating a quote takes longer than average. You can then still wait for it, or come back later and see the quote in your dashboard.
The quotation ID is displayed above the loading bar of your quotation. This is useful when you want to reference a quotation calculation.
You can set a default preferred method for edge finishing in Sophia®.
This means that by default your preferred option is selected for edge finishing and if you wish, you can change it to another setting.
The options are
A batch process has been set up. This means that for large quantities, the parts for that particular customer upload in phases.
The rules that now apply for this are as follows:
This way, there is a waiting time only for the customer uploading the large file, no longer for all customers. When the batch process is started, you receive a notification, so you know that the analysis may take a little longer.
The materials selection menu has been given a new look. The menu now contains main categories for materials. Materials are grouped first within the main category and then within the category by alphabetical order.
It is also possible to search for materials by typing in parts of a material name. You then filter by the options that contain the typed text.
When you create a new project, you can combine parts from the parts library with new files. You do this via the upload window. A button has been added at the bottom to look up parts from the library and add them to the project. Once you have added them, you get a confirmation of the parts and the number of times you have added them.
You can also add parts from the parts library to an existing project. This works as follows: Scroll down in the configurator, under add drawing. There you will find a button to add parts. A pop-up to add parts appears in the same window.
