Steven Ruijters Appointed CEO of 247TailorSteel

Steven Ruijters has been CEO of 247TailorSteel since August 1, 2026. The company is a manufacturer of custom-made metal products with six locations in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. He comes from Royal Van Leeuwen, where he served as managing director, and has over 25 years of experience in the steel and metal industry.

Who is Steven Ruijters?

Ruijters started his career in 1999 at thyssenkrupp Materials Nederland, where he took on responsibility as branch director after a number of roles. In 2017 he moved to Royal Van Leeuwen and became Managing Director of the Zwijndrecht site. Since 2024 he had been Regional Managing Director Benelux, responsible for all business units in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Operational excellence and commercial excellence are recurring themes throughout his career. At Van Leeuwen he played a key role in several acquisitions and integrations, and led large-scale investments including the modernisation and digitalisation of the warehouse facilities. Innovation and process optimisation were the common thread.

He brings that background to 247TailorSteel, where he has been CEO since 1 August 2026.

The Supervisory Board on the appointment

Steven knows this market from the inside and understands what that demands of an organisation,” says Remko Rosman, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Ruijters on the transition

In the coming years, 247TailorSteel will focus on further growth in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, as well as on further optimizing the ordering and production process for existing customers. Components are custom-made in our own production facility, which features more than 150 machines, and can be ordered through our online portal, Sophia®.
