Sophia® recognizes my tube as a plate. What can I do?

Sophia® may recognize tubes shorter than 31 mm as plates. This is due to a validation sequence that the software runs through. If this happens, you can do the following.

1. Open the part in Sophia® using the 3D or Product view. 
2. Under Product Properties on the right, locate the “Recognized as” line.
3. Click on the part type “Flat Plate”.
4. Select “Round or rectangular tube” from the dropdown menu.
5. Click “Apply”.

The plate will now be recognized correctly.

Note: You can only change the part type for 3D drawings, such as STEP files.
