We are constantly working on improving and optimising our online software Sophia®. Some changes are visible, whereas others take place behind the scenes. A recent update concerning uploading and ordering tube products has been implemented. Read further to find out what this means for you.
Previously, after uploading your drawing with tubes, you were able to set holes to ‘ignore’. Following the most recent update, this is no longer possible.
As of now, when uploading a drawing which contains tubes, only the STEP-file will be taken into account. Ignoring holes or drawing holes too small so they get marked is no longer possible in Sophia®. From now on, you must indicate holes and what is to be engraved or marked within your drawing program in advance. This can no longer be changed in Sophia® afterwards.
What do you need to pay attention to?
Holes which are too small are no longer automatically marked. Holes that need to marked should be drawn 0.2mm in size. For normal holes, follow the delivery specifications.
Engravings need to be drawn as actual engravings. These should be drawn at minimum depth of 0.2mm. This cannot be changed in Sophia® later on.
Holes can no longer be ignored in Sophia®.
